สบาย

Thai

Etymology

From Pali sappāya (“beneficial”), possibly via Middle Khmer សាបាយ (sāpāya, “good; fit; beneficial; wholesome; healthful; pleasant; agreeable; comfortable; at ease”); compare Sanskrit सभेय (sabheya, “decent; well-behaved”). Cognate with Khmer សប្បាយ (sapbaay), Lao ສະບາຍ (sa bāi).
